Tower Tours
Following a major renovation in 2025, The Hub Tower Tours are open again for summer and autumn 2026!
Climb the spiral stairs, explore the Bell Ringing Room, and enjoy panoramic views from the Spire. Discover historic landmarks, fascinating facts, and stories from Lichfield’s rich past.
Our guide led tour will take you up a narrow spiral staircase, and up through the centre of the Tower to the Spire Viewing Platform, with stunning views of Lichfield and the surrounding area.
In our Bell Ringing Room, you will learn about the newly refurbished bells that will be 300 years old in 2026 – so will have been heard by Samuel Johnson himself!
Continue up to the viewing platform and you will learn a little about the history of St Mary’s and Lichfield. Each of the four viewing windows has a panoramic drawing, highlighting the key points of interest that can be seen, along with some fascinating facts!
Each tour will last approx 40 minutes, there will be a maximum of 8 people per tour (plus two guides).
Advanced booking is recommended, however, if space is available on the day, tickets can be booked through our Coffee Shop.
Children aged 10+ are permitted but must be accompanied by one adult per child. Tickets for under age 19 are available at the reduced price of £8 (select child ticket price at basket page).
