The Hub Sings

The launch of a dynamic new choir for four-part mixed voices.

The Hub are launching a new choir ‘The Hub Sings’, offering adult singers who are experienced at singing in harmony an exciting challenge and the opportunity to perform a range of dynamic arrangements of old classics, jazz and classical. Come along to the launch evening to find out all about joining the choir, have a sing, a chat and a drink (bar open!)

The choir will be led by Ruairi Edwards, an Internationally sought-after conductor, pianist and vocal coach. As a former vocal coach and pianist on Gareth Malone’s BBC BAFTA award-winning The Choir: Sing While You Work (2012-2014), Ruairi has developed a reputation for bringing joy, passion and a natural love of singing to all of the people and organisations he works with.

Ruairi is an Internationally sought-after conductor, pianist and vocal coach who works Worldwide delivering projects, workshops and rehearsals. A core member of some of the country’s most prestigious choral organisations, including “Ex Cathedra” and “National Children’s Choir of Great Britain”, Ruairi works with everything from experienced chamber choirs through to massed choruses of 400+ children; from corporate settings to local communities. His musical travels so far in 2019 have included Dubai, Thailand, Hong Kong and the USA, where he spent a week working with legendary jazz singer Bobby McFerrin. Ruairi is the founder and leader of the regularly sold-out vocal retreat Finding Your Voice, which takes place twice yearly at Devon’s world-famous Dartington Hall Estate.
