Alice Sneddon

Nominated for Best Newcomer at the New Zealand International Comedy Festival and a Billy T Nominee, Alice has sold out consecutive NZ Comedy Festivals and has established herself as a leading stand up in the New Zealand comedy scene.

Alice was head writer of multiple series shows including Jono and Ben (TV3) and Funny Girls (TV3) and was showrunner on sitcom Golden Boy (TV3). She regularly appears on panel shows 7Days (TV3) and Have You Been Paying Attention (TVNZ).
Her own TVNZ series Alice Snedden’s Bad News (TVNZ) has received critical praise and popular success. The show is currently on its second series.
2019 saw Alice support Rob Delaney on tour and perform her stand up on the Best Foods Comedy Gala (TVNZ) in Auckland and The Now Show (BBC) on BBC Radio 4.

Alice is the co writer of the sitcom Starstruck, created by and starring Rose Matafeo. Starstruck was commissioned by BBC3 in the UK and HBO Max in the US. Season One premiered on BBC One and BBC Three in the UK where it became the channel’s best performing new comedy of the year with over three million requests on BBC iPlayer to date, and later on HBO Max in the US, the show was also pre-sold to over 50 territories including Australia (ABC) and New Zealand (TVNZ). The show is a critical and ratings success and will be returning for a third series.

Joe Kent Walters

Joe Kent-Walters is a multi-award winning comedian and actor from Huddersfield. He has been delighting audiences up and down the country with his idiosyncratic style of outrageous character comedy, most notably with his comic creation Frankie Monroe.

His “mesmerising and unpredictable presence” (Chortle) performing as Frankie saw him win the 2023 BBC New Comedy Award after a “barn storming” (Ibid) set at Glasgow’s Kings Theatre, Joe is now in development with the BBC and is one of Jiksaw’s 2024 ‘Faces of Comedy.’

Joe’s debut solo show (as yet untitled) has already played to sell out crowds in London, Leeds, Manchester and Hull where the crowd “deservedly gave the act a standing ovation” (RichComicLife Blog). The show is due to play at comedy festivals across the country including Leicester, Machynlleth, Hastings and Glasgow where it has been included in the Skinny’s “Five under the radar picks” for the festival.
Prior to his BBC success Joe won the 2021 Chortle Student Comedy Award which saw him play the main comedy stage at Latitude festival and tour Australia, performing at the Sydney Comedy Store
Joe’s double act The Lovely Boys have also been causing a splash in the UK alternative scene. Their eponymous 2022 debut show recieved critical acclaim and cult status with The Scotsman praising them for their “Tremendous knockabout chemistry”. They now run a regular ‘& friends’ gig at Hackney’s Moth Club with Knock2Bag.
