Sunday Soul Sessions with The Tom Morgan Quartet ft. Sir Louis

Prominent local guitarist Tom Morgan is a versatile and expressive musician whose influences know no boundaries. Drawing inspiration from the romance of classic jazz, the warm funk of smooth jazz, and the deep-rooted spirit of gospel and latin music, Tom’s sound is both heartfelt and refined. While he is a confident and compelling solo performer, his greatest joy lies in collaboration – and that passion has brought together a quartet of exceptional musicians.

Joining Tom on stage is one of the country’s finest and most in-demand pianists, Matt Ratcliffe (Derbyshire), the incomparable and expressive genius of Wayne Matthews (Coventry) on bass, and renowned show and theatre drummer Spencer Hedges (Hinckley) on drums. Together, they create a rich, dynamic sound that is as tight as it is expressive.

Alongside instrumental performances, the group prominently features rising Birmingham vocalist Louis Connor (Sir Louis). With a soulful voice that perfectly complements the musicians on stage, Sir Louis channels the passion and spirit of some of music’s greatest pioneers.

Blending jazz, soul, funk, and gospel, and celebrating the work of some of the world’s finest songwriters and musicians, this performance offers something for everyone. Expect a truly special, soul-soaked afternoon of the highest calibre.
