Crafty Lockdown – Rosie’s Calligraphy Workshop
The HUB can’t wait to introduce you to Rosie from Rosie & Ramona, who will be delivering our new online craft sessions. Rosie has been running the creative business for the last year and a half whilst her 2-year-old daughter Ramona likes to hang out with her and make a mess! Rosie and Ramona specialise in illustration, calligraphy, and handmade unique goodies such as signs, wedding boards, plant pots and much more! There are so many skills and ideas Rosie would love to share and hope you’ll join in with some crafty tutorials during lockdown 2.0! Fancy trying your hand at some Simple Brush Pen Calligraphy? A lot of Rosie’s work uses handwriting and especially modern calligraphy, being completely self-taught and using all sorts of pens and surfaces. But the easiest way with the most impressive outcome is using brush pens! Whether you use a brush pen, a pencil or a Sharpie, this tutorial will give you the basics on how to make letters look pretty, how to put them together, how to teach yourself your own style and the many ways you can use this skill!
All you need to join in:
- Some sheets of white card, or a nice blank sketch book with thick paper.
- A pencil, rubber and a pen – I would recommend the Tombow Fudenosuke (a pack of 2 on Amazon is under £6)
- If you don’t fancy buying a brush pen it’s no problem, you can use any felt tips or markers you feel comfortable with, or even just a pencil!
Further details on how to join the Zoom session will be provided once a ticket has been purchased.
Can’t wait to see you all there!
