Phil King
Returning to The Hub after his stellar performance as ‘Guy’ in last summer’s ‘Once The Musical’, Phil King presents and evening of Acoustic, Folk, Americana, and Blues & Roots. King has the whole trinity: A beautiful soulful singing voice, deft skills at playing the guitar, and the capacity to write elegantly worded and powerful songs.
Phil will be playing a mixture of originals from his last three studio albums, a few new songs, and covers from his album ‘Shelter’, released in 2022. ‘Shelter’ is a collection of covers, including songs by Bob Dylan, Doc Watson, Jackson C Frank, Calexico, Fionn Regan, Ray Lamontagne and Chris Smither. All songs by songwriters who mean a lot to Phil, songs which bring him comfort to listen to, to learn and now to share.
