Once Upon A Time – Art & Story Entwined

Once Upon a Time is an exhibition of Art and Storytelling combined, curated by local artist and storyteller, Maria Credali, featuring visual and textile art inspired by traditional stories.

With recordings of stories (visual and audio) by Maria and some which have been very kindly gifted by other storytellers, visitors can scan the QR code next to the pictures, or follow the links in the catalogue to listen.

And why not allow your imagination to wander, creating your own images for the story of “The Cracked Pot” and contribute to our visitor gallery.

Open to all ages and with stories suitable for young and old alike, this is an interactive exhibition for the whole family.

Storytellers draw on all of the senses to convey their stories, and in recognition of this there will be fairy tale artefacts to touch and explore for both children and adults.

There are riddles for young and old, but beware – you might not find all of the answers!

This is a FREE exhibition (no booking required), open during our coffee shop opening hours – Tuesday – Friday 9.30am – 4pm and Saturday 9.30am – 3pm.
