Norse Legends- Embossed Metal Workshop (Age 10+)
During this relaxed and friendly workshop you will learn how to accurately trace, cut and emboss foil metal to create your chosen design using engraving, high relief and low relief techniques. No experience is necessary – full tuition will be provided by professional artist and storyteller Maria Credali.
You will make two or more embossed metal foil plaques which can be framed at home.
As you work on your Norse design you will also hear all about the symbolism of the artwork as well as the characters and adventures found in Norse Mythology, including what happened when Thor’s hammer was stolen and how Odin carries a raven on each shoulder…
Workshop duration approx 2hrs. Suitable for children aged 10+. Children must be supervised by an adult at all times. Adults may also participate if purchasing a ticket. Non-participating adults must also stay with their children at all times (min 1 adult per 2 children).
