Nick Dewhurst Band feat. Lydia Rae
To kick off the Lichfield Jazz Weekender 2026, we have a concert featuring two fabulous local jazz artists, the Nick Dewhurst Band with special guest vocalist Lydia Rae.
Based in Lichfield, the ND Band plays funky original compositions alongside Nick’s arrangements of tunes picked from both the worlds of jazz and pop! Always serving up in a lively and exciting show, the band specialises in great grooves, passionate solos and exceptional musicianship.
Lydia Rae is a local jazz singer and composer who has performed all across the UK and Europe, as well as fronting several Big Bands. With experience in opera, choral ensembles, jazz, gospel, and musical theatre, Lydia blends the best of all genres in their work and voice.
This event forms part of our Jazz Weekender (4–7 June) – discover the full line-up of festival events here.
