Marni Nixon – The Soprano Behind The Screen

The Soprano Behind The Screen is a professional production based on the life of Hollywood’s secret soprano; Marni Nixon who dubbed the likes of Audrey Hepburn, Natalie Wood & Deborah Kerr, this production tells her story through tales of silver screen Hollywood and songs from classic movie musicals (including My Fair Lady, West Side Story and The King & I), operas and more recent Broadway shows too. 
Charlie-Jade Jones (Soprano)

Warwickshire born Soprano & Actress Charlie-Jade studied as a classical singer before beginning her postgraduate training at the Royal Academy of Music, London. She graduated with a Postgraduate Diploma in Musical Theatre in 2015 and in 2019 was awarded the title Licentiate of the Royal Academy of Music (Musical Theatre).

Notable theatrical engagements include Iola Stover in the 5* revival of Jason Robert Brown’s Tony Award Winning musical; Parade at Frogmore Paper Mill, the 5* UK Symphonic Premier of Rodgers & Hammerstein’s State Fair directed by Thom Southerland at Cadogan Hall, Anything Goes with the Royal Philharmonic Concert Orchestra, BBC Friday Night Is Music Night and 1st Soprano & Soloist in the Thursford Christmas Spectacular – Europes Biggest Christmas Show!

Connor Fogel (Musical Supervisor)
Connor Fogel studied piano at the Royal Welsh college of Music and Drama, and gained a masters in Musical Direction from Mountview Academy of Theatre Arts.  As a pianist, Connor has been the recipient of several prizes and awards including The Phillipa Whitlaw-Yardley Memorial Prize, The Eric Hodges Prize, The Princess Diana Memorial Award, and was a finalist in the 2016 Royal Welsh Concerto Competition and 2019 International Liszt Piano Competition.

In 2016, Connor became the first ever recipient of The Musicians Company Musical Director Award and was made a yeoman of the Worshipful Company of Musicians. In 2017, he was made the Andrew Lloyd Webber Associate Musical Director of The Royal Central School of Speech and Drama. Connor is currently the Musical Director for the Royal Shakespeare Company’s 2019/20 season – As You Like It, Taming of the Shrew, Measure for Measure (Barbican, UK, USA, Asian tour).
