Jazz & Funk Roadshow with The Nick Dewhurst Band
The Nick Dewhurst Band is back at the Hub, with a brand-new show the ‘Jazz & Funk Roadshow’. Mixing together elements of jazz, funk, fusion, pop & blues, and played by some of the finest jazz & session musicians from the Midlands, the show celebrates great grooves, funky tunes, and as always, outstanding improvisation.
Led by jazz trumpeter & guitarist Nick Dewhurst, the show will feature a mixture of Nick’s trademark funky covers of songs by artists such as the Average White Band, Steely Dan, Stevie Wonder and Moloko to name a few, but also played alongside a selection of the band’s own original pieces, including music from albums ‘Suspect in You’ and ‘Skyrocket’, as well as new tunes from the next album ‘Supersonic’.
“The Nick Dewhurst Band always delivers…jazz & funk in equal measures!” Dennis Rollins MBE
