Our Community Coffee Shop isn’t just a place to enjoy a cup of coffee; it’s a space where friendships are brewed and ideas come to life.
The beating heart of Lichfield, we offer a warm, welcoming environment where everyone feels at home. We host events and groups that nurture local connections and provide essential services, ensuring our space is always buzzing with activity.
There’s always something happening at The Hub that’s designed to uplift and inspire.
As a social enterprise, our profits have a purpose. Every penny we make goes back into funding community activities and providing free or low-cost space for local not-for-profit groups. So, when you support our coffee shop, The Little Shop, or attend an event, you’re directly contributing to the well-being of your community

She works tirelessly to forge partnerships with local organisations, ensuring that our engagement programme is as diverse and inclusive as the people of Lichfield themselves.

Community at The Hub
As part of our mission to create a welcoming and creative space for everyone, we proudly host a variety of community groups.
The Staffordshire Adult Autistic Society (SAAS) Social Group Meetups are designed to be ASC-friendly, offering autistic individuals a welcoming space to connect with others. Parents or carers are welcome to join for additional support if needed. These weekly meetups are a wonderful opportunity to build connections, foster friendships, and enjoy a judgement-free environment where participants can relax and be themselves without feeling the need to ‘mask.’

Originally established by Staffordshire County Council Library Services, Friendly Faces is a social group for those seeking a warm cup of tea and a friendly chat. Over time, this group has evolved into a lively games gathering, where participants can enjoy weekly rounds of fun and connection.
Thursdays 2 – 4
Just come along – no need to book
Founded by the community in partnership with Lichfield Refugee Aid, the English Conversation Club offers a friendly and relaxed setting for practising conversation skills and learning English phrases. Whether you’re new to English or a native speaker who enjoys good conversation, you’re warmly welcome to join.
Thursdays 10.30 – 12
Just come along – no need to book
The first and third Friday of every month from 11am until 12 noon, our in-house tech genius Adam Stamps offers everything from:
- simple tech problem solving,
- help with registering on the NHS app,
- identifying scams and safeguarding against them,
- editing accessibility settings on devices,
- providing advice on mobile and broadband contracts

This local support group, organised by Diabetes UK, is open to anyone living with diabetes, along with their families, partners, carers, or anyone interested in learning more about diabetes.

Inspire is a peer support group for anyone affected by sight loss in Lichfield and the surrounding area. Our aim is to build a thriving community for local blind and partially sighted people of working age.
You can join us for our lunch club on the second Wednesday of the month from 11am to 1pm. Friends and family are welcome, and guide dogs of course! This is a great opportunity to meet new people in a relaxed and friendly environment.
We offer practical and emotional support – our group facilitators have lived experience of sight loss and can signpost you to a wide range of local services. You can also ask for assistance with CV writing, interview skills or job searching.

Family at The Hub
Our free play area for little ones is open from 9.30am to 4pm Wednesday to Friday – a creative little spot in the corner of The Hub coffee shop.
Pop in, grab a coffee and let the little ones explore!

To use our community notice board, simply bring your announcements, flyers, or event details in and pop them on the board.
Please ensure that your notices are relevant to the community, clearly written, and include contact details. Notices are typically displayed for a month unless otherwise requested, so remember to remove or update your postings as needed.
Our notice board is a great way to share news, promote events, and stay connected with others in the community.
Volunteers play a vital role in The Hub team, driven by a shared passion for the performing arts and local community. They generously dedicate their time to support the growth and success of our social enterprise and we would be lost without them.
By volunteering, they become integral members of an organisation deeply embedded in the local community. Additionally, our volunteers have the chance to connect with like-minded individuals, enjoy social interactions, and watch our productions while on duty.
We are looking for volunteers with a range of skills and interests to help deliver all aspects of our Arts and Heritage programme. We welcome volunteers of all ages and backgrounds and we would love to hear from anyone wishing to gain experience to further their studies or develop their careers.
