Relaxed Events

Throughout the year we offer a number of relaxed performances and dedicated relaxed exhibition viewing times.

What is a Relaxed Event?
Our relaxed events / gallery hours are open to Neurodivergent and Learning Disabled people, or anybody who would benefit from a more relaxed environment.
During the Relaxed Event / Hour we do the following:

  • Limit noise
  • Remove abnormal lighting
  • There is additional signage to the show / exhibition and facilities.
  • There is a designated ‘Quiet Zone’ in the coffee shop, with available ear defenders, fidgets and bean bags.
  • Reduce the number of entry tickets or admissions to these gallery sessions / events, to reduce the risk of crowding.
  • Our staff are trained in Autism and Learning Disability awareness and will be there to assist if you need them.
